The humble buffalo provides great entertainment

Every August in Pattaya the highly popular ‘Buffalo Race’ happens. The buffalo (‘Kwai’ – Thai word) holds a special place in Thai hearts due to being the back bone to many a farm across this country.

With mud, water and seriously high speeds, the annual buffalo race attracts high numbers of both Thais and foreigners. The event is held in East Pattaya on Soi Siam Country Club next to Maprachan lake.
