Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok bids a welcome return to the gastronomic excellence of The Waterside Inn with Michel Roux, O.B.E. as special guest at Le Normandie.

From the banks of the Thames, in the 16th century village of Bray, this legendary “restaurant with bedrooms” has been serving inspirational French cuisine since 1972. Gaining its first Michelin star in the UK Guide’s launch publication in 1974, a second followed in 1977 before the ultimate accolade in 1985 when The Waterside Inn achieved three Michelin stars.

Today, under the leadership of Michel’s son, Chef Patron, Alain Roux, The Waterside Inn remains the only restaurant in the world outside France to have retained those coveted stars for more than 30 years.
