Siamese war with elephants into battle!

The first DBMM competition to be held in Bangkok, Jatarungkabart 2017 is hosted by the Bangkok Historical Gamers in Collaboration with Battlefield Bangkok (Thailands premiere gaming store).

The event will be 4 games over 2 days of DBMM v2.1 with armies of 400 points selected from DBMM official army lists books 1 and 2 and within the period of 1000 BC to 1 BC . The scale is 15mm.

Jatarungkabart (losely translated as meaning ’4 legs’ in the ancient Siamese language) were the elite guards entrusted with escorting Siamese war elephants into battle, especially that of the king. As the legs were the weakest point on the elephant, four jatarunkabart were assigned to run alongside the elephants and protect their legs from enemy attacks. Failure to do so resulting in death! Expertised in fighting with two swords (the art in Thai known as krabi-krabong) and in hand-to-hand combat (traditionally the origin of Muay Thai), they were feared and highly respected warriors.
