In memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Kraisak Chirachaisakul together with Kalwit Studio & Gallery and The Emporium Shopping Complex are hosting an exhibition under the name “REMEMBRANCE OF THE KING” to honour and remember His Majesty’s legacy.

The exhibition by Kraisak Chirachaisakul is meant to pay a tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Kraisak created every piece in the exhibition to convey memorable stories and moment of bliss that Thai people have over their King. He chose the sophisticated Drypoint technique that overlaid 4 shades of color with 4 printed patterns to maximize the use of vibrant paint and detail. A wide variety of color is incised one by one onto the surface, which can be compared to the magnitude of love and respect that population have toward their King and appreciation of their time spent under the reign of His Majesty King Rama IX. The vivacious color also represents the change in the artist himself who only preferred darkish and somber tone in his work. This time he shows a more relaxed and subtle side of himself.
A percentage of show sales will go towards the completion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Final project, Siriraj Foundation for ‘Navamindrapobitr 84th Anniversary Buidling’ at Siriraj Hospital
