Top K-pop star G-Dragon will return to the Kingdom for two rounds of a solo concert at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on July 7-8.
Presented by Live Nation BEC-Tero, the “G-Dragon 2017 World Tour Live in Bangkok” will mark his second time performing solo in Thailand. It is part of his world tour , which will include at least 24 shows in 19 cities in Asia, North America and Oceania.
G-Dragon is the stage name of rapper, singer-songwriter Kwon Ji-yong, who is also the leader and producer of Korean hip-hop boy band Big Bang, who performed in Bangkok two years ago. He has penned almost all of the group’s major hits. Six of the songs that he produced have received more than 1 billion views on YouTube.
He debuted as a solo artist with the release of Heartbreaker in 2009. The album topped the Gaon Chart, earned Album of the Year from the Mnet Asian Music Awards and became the top-selling album by a male artist that year. In 2013, he embarked on his first solo world tour, “One Of A Kind”, which drew 570,000 fans to 27 shows in 13 cities across nine countries.
